To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the longest determinate sentence being served by any prisoner, including sentences running consecutively, for offences other than terrorist offences.

According to the records held centrally, on 30 June 1991 the longest determinate sentence being served in a prison service establishment in England and Wales for a non-terrorist offence was 38 years.
