To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer for what time period Her Majesty's Customs is required to store details of sensitive technology export licences after permission for export has been granted.

[holding answer 29 November 1991]: Export licences are examined and endorsed, but not retained by Customs and Excise. Questions about their storage after this action are a matter for the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.
