§ Mrs. ChalkerIn response to a request from the Peruvian Government, the Overseas Development Administration made an immediate cash contribution in February of US$20,000 through the Pan American Health Organisation, which is co-ordinating the relief effort. In March we contributed a further £100,000 through PAHO in response to the rapidly increasing scale of the epidemic. In addition, we are providing some £180,000 as Britain's share of the European Community's emergency aid.
