§ Mrs. ChalkerNo such estimates have been made. The appeals launched by the international agencies alone total over US$620 million. So far, the United Kingdom has made available £21 million for refugee assistance, as well as the aid share of the costs of the airbridge and Operation Haven. These costs are being met from the overseas aid programme.
