§ Mr. DobsonTo ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will give for each year from 1979–80, including 1991–92, the number of staff actually employed on 1 April and the full complement of staff, including vacant posts, by grade, in the statistical divisions in his Department; and if he will differentiate between staff in statistical posts and staff in administrative posts.
§ Mr. DorrellThe information readily available is shown in the tables. Staff in post figures for the periods prior to 1 April 1987 could be provided only at disproportionate cost. Staff complements as such are no longer used, since expenditure is controlled by financial rather than manpower limits.
