HL Deb 23 April 1991 vol 528 c5WA
Lord Norrie

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What will happen to the work of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England during the consultation period on the Government's proposals on local government.

Baroness Blatch

We consider that the commission should continue with its current programme of work. Decisions on the implementation of its proposals can then be taken on the merits of those proposals and in the context of the wider proposals for change in local government.
