§ Mr. FreemanI was pleased to announce on 20 March that violent crime on London Underground has been reduced for the third successive year. In 1990, there were 1,341 violent crimes recorded on the underground—a reduction of 23 per cent. on the previous year—while passengers made some 800 million journeys.
