§ Mr. William RossTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish a table to show the number of prospective investors from(a) the United Kingdom, (b) the United States of America, (c) Japan and (d) other European Community countries which (i) his Department, (ii) the Industrial Development Board and (iii) the Local Enterprise Development Unit have taken to each council area in Northern Ireland in each of the last five years.
§ Mr. NeedhamThe number of prospective investors from Great Britain, the United States, Japan and other European Community countries who have been taken by the Industrial Development Board to each council area in Northern Ireland in each of the last five years is detailed in the table. The information relates to first-time visits only and in some instances these visits concentrated on detailed discussions with the Industrial Development Board and were confined to IDB house, Belfast. In addition a number of inward investment missions, comprising groups of companies, visited Northern Ireland over the period.
The Department of Economic Development and the Local Enterprise Development unit have not taken any prospective investors from those countries to district council areas during that period.
