To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will give details of the countries to which United Kingdom-produced animal skins are exported; and what has been the value of that trade in each of the last three years.

The only information available is for total United Kingdom exports of raw hides, skins and furskins—SITC division 21. It is published by country in "Overseas Trade Statistics", a copy of which is in the House of Commons Library. These data do not distinguish between United Kingdom-produced goods, and goods previously imported into the United Kingdom.
