§ 53. Mr. FavellTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many bypasses will be started this year.
§ Mr. ChopeFifteen bypasses are planned to start in 1990–91. They will relieve cities, towns and villages throughout England of intrusive and polluting through traffic, bringing major environmental benefits to their inhabitants. The places being bypassed include Norwich, Brighton, Axminster, Whitchurch and Egremont in Cumbria.
