§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThree discussion papers were issued in September in connection with the interdepartmental review of adoption law. The papers have been circulated widely for comment among groups and individuals with an interest in adoption; and are freely available to all interested parties. Further papers in the series will follow, including a discussion paper on inter-country adoption.
New guidance was issued in September to social services departments on inter-country adoption, including adoption of Romanian children.
Copies of the adoption law review papers and of the guidance on inter-country adoption have been placed in the Library.
