The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (The Earl of Caithness)The UK has strictly observed its commitments under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR). It is not for us to comment on what exports may or may not have taken place from other countries, but the two countries mentioned by the noble Lord are partners in MTCR and parties to the NPT, and adhere to the Nuclear Suppliers' Guidelines.
