Mr. Peter Lloyd

We hope to announce shortly our conclusions on whether to create this offence and the others recommended by Lord Justice Taylor.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to prevent broadcasters giving prominence through coverage of motor sports events to brewing companies' names and advertising.

We have no plans to do so. I understand, however, that the Brewer's Society has advised its members not to become involved in the sponsorship of motor sports events.
