§ Mr. Peter LloydThe purpose of the national football intelligence unit is to counteract serious and persistent football hooligans by co-ordinating police intelligence in this country and by improving liaison with police forces abroad. Its aims were more fully explained in Home Office circular 30/1990, a copy of which is in the Library. We shall continue to support the unit in its important work.
