§ Mr. SillarsTo ask the Prime Minister what discussions she has had with other heads of Government in the European Community about the enlargement of the Community territorially.
§ The Prime MinisterHeads of Government reaffirmed at their meeting in November 1989 that there should be no decisions on EC enlargement until the work on the single market has been completed. However I have made clear on many occasions our view that the Community should remain open to all the countries of Europe once they are democratic and ready to join.
