§ Lord Cavendish of FurnessThe implementation of Recommendation 18 of Lord Cullen's report will require the introduction of legislation to make parts of the Mineral Workings (Offshore Installations) Act 1971, and of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-Lines Act 1975 and relevant statutory provisions of the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act 1974. It is possible that implementation of other recommendations may also require the introduction of legislation. It is too soon to say when any of such legislation will be introduced.
