Mr. JacksonThe table gives the number of fatal, major and minor reportable accidents to YTS trainees in Yorkshire and Humberside region from 1 April 1983 to 30 September 1990.

(a) Training Agency figures are compiled on a similar basis to those prepared by the Health and Safety Executive on employed people. However, the Training Agency's figures will include a number of accidents to trainees in education establishments and road traffic accidents which may not have been reportable to the Health and Safety Executive had the individuals been employed.
(b) Major injuries are classified according to the severity criteria laid down in the Reporting of Injuries,Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1985
