§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyHertfordshire county council has confirmed to the Department that it does carry out home study assessments for couples who wish to adopt a Romanian child; the social services department is engaging additional social workers to provide services in accordance with recent Department of Health guidance CI(90)17, a copy of which is available in the Library.
