§ Mr. DorrellProvisional data available show that 893 dentists ceased to provide general dental services in England during the year ended 30 September 1990; 1,084 dentists provided general dental services for the first time during that year, a net increase of 191. In the same period, the total number of dentists providing general dental services in the south-east (the four Thames regions and the Oxford region) reduced by 34 (0.6 per cent.).
