Mr. Dewar

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many regional directors have resigned from the Scottish Development Agency in the past two years.

Mr. Rifkind

During the period from 1 October 1988, three regional directors have resigned from the Scottish Development Agency.

Mr. McAllion

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will publish in theOfficial Report any criteria which he required the Scottish Development Agency to satisfy before taking decisions to invest in area-based projects in Scotland;

(2) if he will publish in the Official Report the sums invested by the Scottish Development Agency in the Dundee project in each year since the project was initiated; and if he will express these figures both in terms of the actual sums invested and at 1990 prices.
