§ Mrs. RumboldThe level of central Government grant to local authorities in respect of electoral registration increases each year to take account of inflation. There has been no other increase in the level of grant for the compilation of the 1991–92 electoral register; nor are we aware that any significant additional expenditure has been incurred by electoral registration officers this year.
