§ Mr. StanbrookTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if arrangements have been made with the Government of Hong Kong for those of their pensioners who are or were expatriate members of the overseas civil service to receive credit for war service in their pensions.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe Hong Kong Government are still actively considering whether to include credit for war service in the calculation of pensions for those of their staff who are, or were, members of Her Majesty's overseas civil service. We were told last month that they hope to complete their deliberations by the end of this year. I will inform my hon. Friend when a decision has been made.
