HC Deb 24 May 1990 vol 173 cc344-51W
Mr. John P. Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give the estimated capital investment in real terms on(a) renovation and (b) renovation grants of local authority dwellings for each local authority for each year since 1979

Mr. David Hunt

Information collected centrally for local authorities relates in general to the category new construction and works, which includes renovation work. The only area of local authority capital expenditure where separate information is available for construction alone is the building of dwellings, figures for which are shown in the following tables. Information for 1979–80 and 1980–81 was not collected on a comparable basis and is therefore not included.
