§ Mr. VazTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans his Department has to deal with financial problems affecting the Leicestershire health authority; and if he will make a statement on what progress has been made in this matter.
§ Mr. DorrellAs the hon. Member is well aware, district health authorities are responsible for living within their cash limits. Leicestershire health authority has a budget of £222 million for 1990–91 and has produced prudent plans to make sure it can balance its books.
