§ Mr. Peter LloydMy right hon. Friend has received a large number of representations on this subject from police officers, from hon. Members on behalf of police officers and from police representative organisations. In response he has explained his reasons for setting aside certain aspects of the Police Negotiating Board agreement on rent allowance. He has also made a number of important changes to his original proposals to meet points which were raised.
