§ 23. Mr. John MarshallTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are the levels of planned expenditure on the National Health Service in 1990–91 broken down by region.
§ Mr. NeedhamA total of £1,035 million will be provided for the health and personal social services in Northern Ireland. Of this sum, £742,847 million will be allocated directly to the four health and social services boards. Excluding sums set aside for priority developments the balance will be allocated as follows: the Eastern board, £392,372 million, the Northern board, £123,891 million, the Southern board, £113,982 million and the Western board, £113,525 million.
