§ Mr. HannamTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps his Department is taking to ensure that local housing authorities work with social services departments on the new community care initiatives being developed as a result of the White Paper, "Caring for People".
§ Mr. ChopeMy Department has been in regular contact with the Department of Health in the preparation of the 247W White Paper and of the ensuing legislation. Clause 43 of the Bill as now amended will require social services departments to consult local housing authorities and other housing providers in the preparation and revision of communtiy care plans.
