Mr. Maclennan

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report those stretches of the A9 lying within Caithness and Sutherland in respect of which since 1970 improvement plans have been announced; and if he will indicate, for each stretch of road, whether (a) work has been completed, (b) work is in progress and (c) an economic assessment is still in train.
