§ Mrs. ChalkerThe main conclusions of the British mission to Cambodia last December have been passed on to interested non-governmental organisations in Britain. The report itself is an internal working document. I announced on 8 January column702 the approach that we shall be taking to assistance for Cambodians as a result of the mission.
§ Mr. BeithTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will propose to his European Community colleagues the establishment of an European Economic Community assessment mission to be sent to Cambodia.
§ Mrs. ChalkerEC Commissioner Matutes made a visit to the region in January. An EC Indo-China refugee co-ordinator will be appointed to monitor the situation and EC involvement throughout the region. The EC also plans to increase its humanitarian assistance programmes for Cambodians, channelling funds through non-governmental organisations.
