§ Mr. MellorMedical facilities are examined by HM inspectorate of prisons in the course of all full inspections and some short inspections of individual establishments. In 1989 there were full inspections of Wandsworth and Latchmere house and a short inspection of Holloway, which included the medical facilities. Full inspections of Brixton (currently taking place) and Wormwood Scrubs, and a short inspection of Pentonville, are scheduled for this year. My right hon. and learned Friend is not persuaded of the case for asking the chief inspector to carry out a special study of prison hospitals.
