To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his Department collects statistics about fraud in Britain.

Yes. The Department collects statistics concerning fraud in England and Wales which are published annually in "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales" and quarterly in statistical bulletins. Copies of these publications are available in the Library. Information for Scotland is a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.
