§ 50. Mr. BowisTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will bring forward measures to place restrictions on the ownership and sale of certain types of breeds of dangerous dogs.
§ Mr. Peter LloydAs I stated in my reply to questions from the hon. and learned Member for Montgomery (Mr. Carlile) and the hon. Member for Knowsley, North (Mr. Howarth) on 22 February at column917, the law was strengthened only last year by the Dangerous Dogs Act 1989. We are studying recent incidents closely and will consider whether the law would benefit from further revision.
