§ 64. Mr. DunnTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps have been taken to support victims of crime; and what compensation is available to them.
§ Mr. John PattenI refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Chelmsford (Mr. Burns).
§ 62. Mr. Kim HowellsTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will now collect information on prosecutions and convictions in sufficient detail to identify the sex of victims in each police force in England and Wales.
§ Mr. John PattenWe have no plans to do so. Special studies of victims are published from time to time and the sex of the victim is already known in homicide cases and for nearly all sexual offences. To record the victim's sex for all offences would greatly add to the collection of costs.
