§ Mr. AtkinsThe discussion document, "Traffic in London", published by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State on 14 December 1989, includes proposals for new traffic management guidance for London and a London traffic director, who could ensure the coherent development and operation of a priority "red route" network for London and the co-ordination of a London-wide parking strategy. The responses to public consultation on the proposals are being assessed.
