HC Deb 12 March 1990 vol 169 c35W
Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what reports he has had on the human rights situation in Romania in the post-revolutionary period.

Mr. Waldegrave

There has been a great improvement in the human rights situation in Romania since the revolution. The provisional Government have expressed their willingness to honour fully their obligations under the CSCE. However, there is still cause for concern in a number of areas, such as the rights of minorities.
