Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs had a useful discussion with the new Somali Foreign Minister, Mr. Ahmed Jama Abdulle, on 23 February during which he encouraged the new Somali Government to persevere in pursuing the goals that they have set themselves of improved human rights observance, achievement of national reconciliation, liberalisation of the constitution, and economic reform.
