Baroness Fisher of Rednal

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will take note of the local feelings expressed in Birmingham about the West Midlands Health Authority's reorganisation plan which will involve a massive development at Queen Elizabeth site and the closing of a number of city hospitals.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Hooper)

I am happy to assure the noble Baroness that my right honourable and learned friend the Secretary of State for Health will take note of the responses the West Midlands Regional Health Authority has received during its local consultation on its plans entitledBuilding a Healthy Birmingham, when these plans are submitted to him.
