To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the destinations chosen for brown tourist signs on motorways.

Tourist sign destinations are not chosen by the Department. They are applied for and authorised against published criteria. The following destinations have been authorised for inclusion on tourist signs on motorways in England by region:

(4) Many tourist destinations are signed from trunk and "A" roads, for which there are no central records.
