§ Mr. StrangTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what research is being undertaken for his Department on the greenhouse effect by the James Rennel centre for ocean circulation at Southampton university.
§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryThe Department is not commissioning any research at the James Rennell centre for ocean circulation at this time. The centre is currently being established by the natural environment research council at Southampton university with funding from the science budget. It will open in October 1990.
