§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe effects on local amenities of the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Scotland) Order 1989 were given careful consideration as part of the consultation process prior to the order coming into force. In response to the comments made on the consultation paper and to protect local amenities we removed public houses and other licensed premises from the food and drink class.
