§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy (1) if he intends to exclude companies incorporated outside the United Kingdom in(a) other European Community countries and (b) non-European Community countries from bidding for PowerGen or National Power;
(2) what (a) classes of company and (b) specific companies he proposes to exclude from bidding for (i) PowerGen and (ii) National Power.
§ Mr. BaldryMy right hon. Friend has not excluded in advance any companies that may bid for PowerGen. All bidders will be considered on their merits. There is currently no proposal to sell National Power to a private purchaser.
