§ Mr. ScottWe have received comments on our proposals for disability allowance from more than 70 organisations of and for disabled people and from a large number of individual people with disabilities. We regularly meet the disability organisations, and I met the Disability Benefits Consortium—an umbrella group representing more than 250 disability organisations on 5 April to discuss their views on "The Way Ahead". We shall continue to take into account the views of interested organisations and individuals while work is progressing on the two new benefits, disability allowance and disability employment credit.
