§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardThe latest version of the family expenditure survey (1987) shows that in Scotland 65 per cent. of pensioners in receipt of the retirement pension and supplementary benefit received at least one other social security benefit. It is not possible from the family expenditure survey to separate accurately retirement pension and supplementary benefit.
