§ Mr. MaudeMy right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary told the press in Houston that the European Community gives less support to its agriculture than previously, because of changes made to the CAP. These include controls introduced in 1988, for example stabiliser mechanisms, which automatically cut prices when Community production exceeds preset limits.
