To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will estimate how many women would be entitled to(a) severe disability allowance and (b) invalid care allowance if women could claim these benefits up to the age of 65 years.

We estimate that the additional number of women who would qualify each year if they could make a new claim between the ages of 60 and 65 is as follows:
