§ Mr. AtkinsThe police records of accidents, on which national statistics are based, do not include information on the qualifications of supervising drivers. However, I have received a number of letters about accidents which have occurred in these circumstances.

§ Mr. AtkinsOur consultation paper issued on 20 December last year at column 278 invited comments by 28 February. One motoring organisation is among those who have so far written. I shall develop the proposals in the light of all the comments received.
