§ Mr. McLoughlinThe accident is the subject of an investigation by the Department of Transport's air accidents investigation branch. A team of specialists in both engineering and operations arrived at the site a few hours after the accident and began work immediately. The wreckage has subsequently been removed to the AAIB's base at Farnborough, where work is continuing.
