On how many occasions in 1989 the police seized quantitites of the cocaine derivative "crack", what were the comparable figures for 1986, 1987 and 1988, and how many of these seizures took place in the Metropolitan Police district.
Earl FerrersFigures supplied by the police to the National Drugs Intelligence Unit, which may not be complete, indicate that in 1989 the police made 139 seizures of "crack". This compares with 27 seizures in 1988, 12 in 1987 and five in 1986. The number of seizures which took place in the Metropolitan Police, District were: 86 in 1989; 10 in 1988; three in 1987; and three in 1986.
