§ Mrs. RumboldCriteria for assessment at seven, 11, 14 and 16 years are embodied in national curriculum attainment targets for key stages I to 4. Attainment targets have already been laid down in maths and science for all four key stages and in English for key stage 1. My right hon. Friend expects to make orders shortly laying down attainment targets in English for key stages 2 to 4 and in806W technology for all key stages. He intends to lay down attainment targets for the remaining foundation subjects by 1992.
