§ Baroness BlatchThe 1988–89 survey of student income and expenditure conducted by Research Services Limited found that 11 per cent. of younger full-time and sandwich students in Great Britain were living in their parental home. This figure comprises 7 per cent. of university students and 19 per cent. of polytechnic and college students. For the purposes of the survey, a younger student was defined as a student aged under 26 at the commencement of the course.
